Straight answers.
Will it rust?
It is rust resistant. The pin is heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel and the handle is red-anodized aircraft-grade aluminum, so the finish does not corrode. If you want the pin that never rusts, that is the Titanium Hitch Pin.
Does it need grease?
No grease. Wash it when you wash the truck and dry it off. That is the whole list.
How does the push-button work?
ConnecTrickâ„¢. Press the thumb button and the positive locking balls on the shaft pull in. Push the pin through, let go, and the balls lock the cap in place. The Snap-To-Itâ„¢ cap on the far end is clipless. No R-clip to lose, no knuckles in the way.
Is it a lock?
No. This is a quick-release pin, not a theft deterrent. If you need a keyed pin, look at the Titanium Hitch Pin or the Locking SpeedPin.
What is the warranty?
Lifetime. That covers material defects, failure of the push-button mechanism, and premature corrosion of the stainless parts. No charge, and we cover the return shipping. On top of that is the 90-day Knuckle-Saver guarantee: if you do not love it, send it back within 90 days for a full refund.
