What is in the bundle?
The Titanium Hitch Pin and the Coupler Lock, keyed alike. One key runs both.
Why titanium?
Because it never rusts. The pin is heat-treated 6AL4V titanium. There is nothing on it for salt to eat. The handle is aircraft-grade anodized aluminum, machined on a CNC.
Will it seize up in road salt?
No. We ran it through 1,000 hours of ASTM B117 salt spray, continuous saltwater mist, and it came out the same as day one. The pin is titanium and so are the three positive locking balls that hold it in. Salt has nothing to grab.
Is it greaseable? Does it need maintenance?
No grease. Nothing to grease. Wash it when you wash the truck and dry it off. Every so often, give the lock cylinder a shot of WD-40. That is the whole list.
Why does it cost $290?
Titanium costs more than steel. So does machining in Manhattan, Montana instead of importing. You are buying two things once: a hitch pin that never rusts and a coupler lock, both keyed to the same key and both covered for life. If they do not earn their keep in 90 days, send them back for a full refund.
Can someone just steal my hitch?
The lock is built into the pin and takes a bidirectional key. No padlock hanging off the back to snap. Nothing is theft-proof. This makes your hitch the hard target.
What does it fit?
Class III, IV and V receivers: 2-inch, 2.5-inch and 3-inch. It is a 5/8-inch pin with a 3.6-inch grip.
What is the warranty?
Lifetime. That covers material defects, failure of the push-button mechanism, and premature corrosion of the titanium or stainless parts. No charge, and we cover the return shipping. On top of that is the 90-day Knuckle-Saver guarantee: if you do not love it, send it back within 90 days for a full refund.
