/ Questions

Straight answers.

Which size do I need?

Standard fits the 2-inch and 2.5-inch B&W Tow & Stow shanks (B&W part TS35010). The 3-inch shank needs the XL, a Ø.705-inch pin. The XL is only made in this locking version.

How many do I need?

Three. A B&W Tow & Stow uses three pins per hitch, so most orders go out in threes.

Does it lock?

Yes. The lock is built into the pin and takes a key. The plain SpeedPin has the same push-button release with no lock.

Will it rust?

It is rust resistant. The pin is heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel and the handle is red-anodized aircraft-grade aluminum, so the finish does not corrode. If you want the pin that never rusts, that is the Titanium Hitch Pin.

Does it need grease?

No grease. Wash it when you wash the truck and dry it off. Every so often, give the lock cylinder a shot of WD-40. That is the whole list.

Why does it cost $170?

A heat-treated 17-4 stainless pin, a red-anodized aircraft-grade aluminum handle, and a lock built into it, machined in Manhattan, Montana. It is covered for life, and if it does not earn its keep in 90 days, send it back for a full refund.

What is the warranty?

Lifetime. That covers material defects, failure of the push-button mechanism, and premature corrosion of the stainless parts. No charge, and we cover the return shipping. On top of that is the 90-day Knuckle-Saver guarantee: if you do not love it, send it back within 90 days for a full refund.
